About the Head of Marketing & Strategy:

HX is seeking a marketing expert who thrives at the intersection of Product Strategy and Growth Marketing. As the Head of Marketing, you are familiar with a range of high-impact growth strategies, tactics, and technologies to optimize conversion funnels and make products grow. This role is a critical fulcrum for the team and will work cross-functionally, unifying the team across marketing, product, and sales while serving as the right hand to the Executive Director for high-level strategy. In this role, you will be tasked with reaching and educating our target users through the design and creation of growth campaigns and key communications that will power product adoption and stickiness.You are a talented storyteller who can tailor a message to a certain audience at the right time and a marketer who understands the art (brand) and science (analytics) to building a brand and delivering business results.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct research to gather data and insight about target personas and customer journey
  • Develop product positioning, value propositions and messaging that resonate with the buying audience and produce the source messaging blueprint
  • Define the market opportunity; perform segmentation and targeting exercises that identify key segments
  • Provide market and customer insights to drive the development of campaign strategies including demand creation and reputation building
  • Write and socialize key marcom strategies such as: message maps and key messaging, communications plan, marketing plan, launch plan, etc.
  • Collaborate with Product to produce relevant content for key stakeholders including but not limited to: founders, talent, investors, and media.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships within the organization and have an analytic, data-driven approach to marketing spend.
  • Manage launch planning and orchestrate execution of GTM strategies for new product launches and initiatives.
  • Develop customer references, testimonials and case studies for external and internal use
  • Drive product retention, adoption, and usability through creative strategies
  • Monitor and report on the performance of products in the market and communicate the results of related sales and marketing efforts.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years previous working experience in Product and/or Marketing.
  • Experience building a marketing strategy framework (ex. Customer/Partner Value Prop) and putting it into action
  • Creativity, an eye for detail, and an analytical mind are necessary.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Background in copywriting, design, or similar field is a plus.
  • Proficiency in, and familiarity with, web analytics tools such as Google Analytics or WebTrends
